Moshe Goldberg

Senior Systems Engineer, HP Software EMEA Moshe is a software engineer with extensive experience and management skills who works for Hewlett Packard in EMEA. HP acquired Vertica - Analytic Database solutions on March 2011 and Today, Vertica is part of HP’s portfolio. Vertica is the only database built from scratch to handle today's heavy business intelligence workloads. As a senior System Engineer, Moshe is responsible for the Vertica software product technical management as part of HP System Engineer team in EMEA. He has more than twenty years of experience, in technical consulting, teaching, project management and was an IT manager for 8 years in a big Telco company.

Moshe has a B.Sc. in Computer Sciences from the Academic College of Technology in Jerusalem (1986). He has also Science Instruction Bachelor's degree, Teaching Certification from the Jerusalem College of Technology.

Ilia Gulman

Big Data Expert, Twingo As a senior big data consultant, Ilia has a proven track record in designing and implementing successful big data projects. He has worked with both multimode and single node Hadoop clusters, and is experienced in implementing projects using HP Vertica, Python, and Linux. In addition, Ilia has experience in solving performance problems in data insert ratio and query run time, as well as in tuning cluster resource levels on Linux and Vertica for optimal performance. A certified HP Vertica trainer, Ilia has taught both Sybase IQ and Vertica P&T courses. Ilia also has broad experience as a database administrator, working on systems with thousands of concurrent users and hundreds of multi-site replications. Ilia was educated at Tel Aviv University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.

Tomer Shiran

VP of Product Management, MapR Tomer Shiran heads the product management team at MapR and is responsible for product strategy, roadmap and requirements. Prior to MapR, Tomer held numerous product management and engineering roles at Microsoft, most recently as the product manager for Microsoft Internet Security & Acceleration Server (now Microsoft Forefront). He is the founder of two websites that have served tens of millions of users, and received coverage in prestigious publications such as The New York Times, USA Today and The Times of London. Tomer is also the author of a 900-page programming book. He holds an MS in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in Computer Science from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
